How do I get consistent matts & layers without dies or a cutting machine

Printable templates anyone?

We can sometimes forget, before the days of electronic cutting machines like Silhouettes, Scan n Cut & Cricut, & cutting dies from brands like Sizzix, Tattered Lace, Creative Expressions, Creative World of Crafts, Tonic.... my goodness how much more we can go on with... what did we do to get our matts and layers?

Well, rulers, expensive templates and guides probably... but now, with the advent of the personal computer and graphics and office programmes, we can create our own. And, just in case you find that all a but of a faff, we have created simple shapes, with increments to allow you to print and use as a template for your crafty project.
